Store Revenue at Bal Harbour Shops Shows Continued Strength in March
BAL HARBOUR, Fla., May 1, 2012 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX) -- Average sales at Bal Harbour Shops held steady in March at $2,462 per square foot, extending a record-breaking streak at the luxury fashion and jewelry boutiques center.
The sales figure was up 25% from March 2011 on a 12-month, rolling-average basis and little changed from $2,465 in February of this year.
"Bal Harbour Shops continues to draw clientele regardless of economic conditions," said operating partner Matthew Whitman Lazenby and third-generation Whitman family member to be involved in the business. "The experience here brings them back, placing our sales well above those at other retail centers in Florida and across the nation."
Bal Harbour Shops has been a leader in the retail industry since it opened in 1965. Sales per square foot have increased every year since inception except for 2001 after the 9-11 attacks and the severe economic downturn in 2009.
Bottega Veneta launches its first luxury fragrance
When we talk about elite leather, it’s difficult to overlook Bottega Veneta. We have earlier seen many flawless products of the brand like one of the most elegant leather table , an extremely luxury Bottega Veneta BVX watch or a Glamour Clutch.
But, this time Bottega Veneta has done a debut on perfumes as they are launching their first fragrance in collaboration with Coty Prestige. Although it’s not one of the world’s most expensive perfumes, but is portrayed “leathery, floral chypreâ€. This was conceptualized by Thomas Maier, Bottega’s creative director.
The designer got the inspiration of the sweet fragrance from an old house in the beautiful countryside in Veneto region of Italy with rolling green hills. According to Maier “I envisioned a room with old wood floors, library walls and leather-bound books with the windows open wide, the breeze coming in and cut grass, hay, moss, garden flowers, growing through the room and everything mixing upâ€.
The new fragrance is a blend of oak moss, Indian jasmine sambac, Brazilian pink peppercorns, Indian patchouli (a floral chypre) and Italian bergamot and is nosed by Michel Almairac form Robertet.
