If you're a little tired this morning then it is time to wake up! And what better way than with this colour-pop new campaign from Miu Miu . While the print ads were unveiled in January, this is the first time that we've seen the video from the shoot. Starring Australian actress Mia Wasikowska , the fashion house's Spring/Summer 2012 campaign is all about bold bright colour, and lots of it!
Replacing Guinevere van Seenus who was the face of Miu Miu's Resort campaign, Wasikowska models a variety of over-the-top outfits as well as handbags, accessories and the Culte Sunglasses Collection. The 23-year-old was spotted on the front row at Miu Miu's show last season which gave savvy fashion insiders a hint that she may be the next new ambassador for the brand.
Last May, Hailee Steinfeld was hired by Prada's sister label in a move that sparked controversy due to her only being 14 years old at the time. Other former Miu Miu faces have included a truck load of young starlets such as Katie Holmes , Lindsay Lohan, and Kirsten Dunst .
In outfits that seem sophisticated beyond her years, 14 year old Hailee Steinfeld looks like a young girl playing dress-ups. Not to say that's a bad thing; it gives Miu Miu's fall 2011 campaign an air of freshness, like youth that can't wait to grow up, like little feet yearning to fit into the high heels that swallow them whole. It's also a strange paralel to Steinfeld's brilliantly-played character in True Grit , a tragic yet determined girl taking on adult responsibilities and a burden of revenge.
But unlike that character Steinfeld now seems innocent and soft. It's also clear that Miu Miu have banked on a rising star, knowing that she's not only destined for big things on screen but potentially as an influence on the social scene and red carpet.

Some people's wardrobes are about a small selection of pieces that all fit within one aesthetic - Tania Braukamper isn't such a person. With a wardrobe that spans three different rooms, her approach to fashion is a mixture of current-season key pieces mixed with vintage finds she's sourced on innumerous shopping trips around the world's more cultured capitals. Despite a disparate approach to shopping, Tania is adamant that the key to mixing vintage with new season is to stick to key looks and colours that work for oneself. And it's a theory that she works into her writing for Fashionising.com, where she serves as the publication's Editor.
